MalwareBot_Israel

Overview

Malwarebytes is a cybersecurity solution designed to protect users against malware, ransomware, malicious websites, and other advanced online threats. By addressing threats traditional antivirus programs often miss, Malwarebytes has become a leading choice for PC, Mac, Android, and iOS security. You can download Malwarebytes for free and secure your devices today.

What is MalwareBot_Israel?

MalwareBot_Israel is a proof-of-concept (PoC) bot that demonstrates a possible way to crack Malwarebytes keys in older versions of Malwarebytes licensing mechanisms. Using an outdated Malwarebytes key generator (keygen), this bot can generate and validate license keys through a brute-force attack, effectively "cracking" lifetime licenses associated with existing Malwarebytes customers.

How It Works

  • Keygen Integration: The bot leverages an older version of the Malwarebytes keygen to generate potential lifetime license keys.
  • Brute-Force Attack: Through repeated attempts, the bot automates license key validation on the Malwarebytes interface, bypassing outdated security measures.
  • Proxy Support: To circumvent server-side rate limiting introduced in newer versions of Malwarebytes, the bot can operate using a proxy list.

Responsible Disclosure

This was reported to Malwarebytes, and they have since implemented fixes in the latest software versions. These updates include server-side security measures like rate-limiting, effectively mitigating the attack vector described in this PoC.

Note: This project is intended solely for educational and ethical purposes, raising awareness about the importance of robust licensing mechanisms and cybersecurity measures.
