This came up on the mailing list, and I think it might be good to have a listing of some hosting providers which offer Sandstorm hosting, for people who want to own a Sandstorm server but are not inclined to server administration. Based on the responses I've seen, it's likely these would be smaller web hosts which are aware of/interested in Sandstorm and would probably be able to provide reasonable setup help or support for Sandstorm server admins.
Currently a very bright orange path on our install flow is a reference to Amazon EC2 and we document how to start there, however, Amazon will not be able to help you when you get stuck. We might include a link to hosts which can help people get started hosting Sandstorm roughly where the EC2 docs are linked.
If we do this, we probably need to indicate some minimum definition of a Sandstorm hosting provider: I think whether by scripted setup or manual assistance, a Sandstorm hosting provider will ensure a new customer reaches a fully setup Sandstorm server.
Another thought is that there we may be able to inspire some hosts to offer this which are in a similar decentralization space: I wonder if hosting providers who provide managed Mastodon setups, for instance, would consider hosting managed Sandstorm setups.
