Notational Velocity is an application for Mac OS X that stores and retrieves notes.

The same area is used for both searching for existing notes and entering the descriptions of new ones. In the process of titling a new note, related notes will appear below, enabling users to build upon those if they choose. Likewise, if a search for some tidbit reveals nothing, one need simply press return to create a new note with the appropriate description.
