Notational Velocity is an application for Mac OS X that stores and retrieves notes.

The same area is used for both searching and creating notes. I.e., in the process of titling a new note, related notes will appear below, letting users file information there if they choose. Likewise, if a search for some tidbit reveals nothing, one need simply press return to create a new note with the appropriate title.
