I recently started using theripper93's D&D5e System Customizer module, which allows persistent modifications to base D&D5e settings (for instance changing the names of abilities, languages, etc.) One of the options is to change the names and abbreviations of base currency denominations--changing GP to GD, for instance--but the settings, which end up stored in CONFIG.DND5E, are not reflected on the Tidy5e Actor sheet.
Custom abilities and skills automatically populate on the sheet, but abbreviations for currency denominations do not. I haven't tested whether the auto-convert feature takes into account the conversion factors either.
Worth noting as well that the abbreviations DO get changed on the Tidy5e Item sheet.

This has been fixed in the Tidy rewrite, coming soon to dnd5e 2.4.x.
The new version is here: https://github.com/kgar/foundry-vtt-tidy-5e-sheets
You can currently pull down the beta via direct URL installation. Also, it will appear as Tidy 5e Sheets version 1.0 on Foundry in another week or so, replacing the original.
