Just updated my panel to latest release and got a question.

The panel is set as Zigbee repeater and is added to my Zigbee network. (Using Z2M from HA)

HA is also installed as a local app to the panel.

Is it now possible to run the HA app on my NSPanel it still make it serve as a master to add slave entities like the Sonoff R5 remote over the eWelink?

Hi,

The zigbee stack is fully independent of original Sonoff app even if you close the app the zigbee stack will operate.
If you mean "remote over ewelink" adding new entities from mobile app. It requires the original app to be running. I'm not aware it is capable of running in the background but you can easily verify it.

Start the HA app and send the original to the background and add/modify device from the mobile app :)

The zigbee hub/remote stand alone feature is very nice. But unfortunately nothing for me since I use Z2M from my HA.

I'm more interested to incoperate buttons like the Sonoff R5 that works over its own protocol eWelink.

The connections unfortunately dies if the app is closed so needs to still running in background.

Or if only the eWelink function.

Can an app be sent to background in your tool?
