Required update due to Google Maps APIs deprecation #2053

Context

Google has announced that some of its core APIs will be deprecated by the end of 2024:

Direction API → will be replaced by Routes API
Places API → will be replaced by New Places API

Question

Is there any plan to update the library to maintain compatibility with the new Google APIs?
