It seems that there are bugs/issues arising from latest React (v15). I investigated a bit but decided it would be easier to create a new component (since it's pretty simple) without the debt of this codebase. This ended up being a better option for our use case that this tool was solving. Dropping here in case it may be relevant to anyone's project(s). https://github.com/mmw/react-password-strength

So this is an FYI that I will not be supporting react-ux-password-field at this time.
