Maintainers wanted: SaltStack #79
Comments
I'd be willing to help out where possible as I'm using SaltStack with Sensu for deployment and now also dabbling in auto-remediation with my SaltStack handler. I'm working on getting my stuff a bit more up-to-code with regular SaltStack formulas so that it's easier to share. Not sure I'd be up to maintainer status due to experience and time, but I'm usually available with an @ mention or on Slack :) |
we love it! I think we'll continue to see if we can land a lead for SaltStack, and they'll definitely rely on you to help them out, especially since you've volunteered (with some prompting 😉) on other parts of the ecosystem. 🙌 |
I can join in, I'm preparing a placeholder for when sensu 2.0 lands, and we can see what I can do with a spike/POC |
@perlchild that sounds great! @majormoses and I are working to onboard you as soon as we can! You'll see invites coming soon (and we'll close this issue once you're in 💪) |
This hasn't seen much in a year. Is this still a need? I'm SaltStack certified and am working on a formula now for SaltStack Go. |
I believe so let me reach out to some folks and work on getting the ball rolling. |
I now have access to help out with this project and will reach out to setup a conversation about getting started. |
Hello, Im also available to help on saltstack for Go. |
I'm happy to add you as a maintainer once you're contributing to the ecosystem. I am hesitant to keep adding "maintainers" who are not pushing or reviewing code. If you need some help to get going you can reach out to me over slack or email. I appreciate your willingness to help! |
The current maintainer team is in need of a friend to lead on SaltStack efforts. In particular:

We would love at least one, but could be as many skilled community members as they are available. Please raise your hand here or mention others you think would be great contributors!
