I have been into microservices these days for job security purposes. 😆
I have been using Devilbox to do so for quite some time and even forked it to add "workspaces" feature and add framework-starter bash commands like laravel_new, next_new, etc. which I dubbed as Lazybox. I have no problems with Devilbox except that it has stagnated with the the development since cytopia is nowhere to be found (we need PHP 8.3, y'know!).
So upon searching for viable candidates to replace my local development setup, I saw an article popped up on my phone featuring a video with the title Effortless Laravel Deployments: Zero-Downtime & 100% Environment Replication with Spin. My eyes were like 👀. Is Google listening to my thoughts as well?! 🥹 Well, if they do, I wanna thank them! 😂 Well, 'coz this sh** right here is fire! 🔥 So yeah, thank you for existing, guys! 😘
Back to the topic, the reason why I left Laravel Sail for Devilbox years ago is due to the absence for support for running multiple Laravel apps at the same time. But when I searched just weeks ago, I found out that it's already solved.
And here we are now. As someone who's been actively looking for a good development setup that is as close as my production setup (soon), I'm pretty sure people will flock to this side sooner or later. With the feature to run multiple Laravel apps at the same time, this app will become much more irresistible! 😆 So yeah, I hope you consider it. 😄
