Bug description

The audio volume is dampened when the front camera notices a sudden drop in illumination, as this would suggest that the user has transitioned from having the phone on its back (speaker mode) to holding it against the ear (legacy telephone mode).

The problem is that this same thing occurs even if the user is wearing earbuds! If the audio is being pumped out on Bluetooth, this audio throttling should not be applied.

Steps to reproduce

  • Put on Bluetooth earbuds and connect them to the phone
  • Start playing a long audio message with the front camera exposed to ambient light
  • Suddenly put your hand over the front camera and observe that the volume drops.
  • Suddenly remove your hand and observe that the volume rises back to normal.

Actual result: Describe here what happens after you run the steps above (i.e. the buggy behaviour)

Volume is too quiet

Expected result: Describe here what should happen after you run the steps above (i.e. what would be the correct behaviour)

Volume doesn't change.
