Please add the possibility to control the Signal desktop app to be controlled via keyboard only.
Currently it is not possible to my knowledge to switch recipient and initiate new message without mouse.

Preferably, these keyboard shortcuts would be user customizable.

via @charlesmchen-signal / #2224:

On Mac:

  • Start searching threads/contacts (Command-F?)
  • Bring up attachment picker.
  • Show emoji picker.
  • Prev/Next conversation (not in order of sidebar, in order of your navigation history). (Command-left arrow, right arrow).

The search box should support enter and arrow keys to navigate and select typeahead results.

I'd love to be able to use CTRL + F to place the cursor in the search input field.

I would recommend CTRL + S for send message. In normal i use Enter for new line.

Feature request opened since Q2 2017. It's Q2 2018. I'm guessing this feature isn't a priority?

Signal Desktop has a number of keyboard shortcuts now, so I'm going to close this issue.
