  • I have searched open and closed issues for duplicates

Feature request. In the iOS app at least messages are clumped by timestamp (maybe within a threshold of 1 minute for consecutive ones ?) so that there isn't so much line noise. It would be great if the desktop app could do this.

Not sure how the feature would be implemented given that right now it seems messages are rendered as independent <li>s instead of a grouped by thing. If you have any pointers or recommendations I'd be happy to take a crack at it.

I'd file this under "nice to have" but also "not trivial". Also, I propose the terminology "message clumping" for this feature, just to disambiguate it from anything to do with g-r-o-u-p m-e-s-s-a-g-e-s when searching issues. ;)

Hah actually searching for duplicates I ran into the same issue. 👍 for clumping terminology. Strange sounding word though.

Not sure if I should comment here or open a new issue given that this issue is 3 years old. The problem is still not fixed. It's not really a problem, but rather something that would make the UI cleaner and more appealing on the desktop. I could try and work on this as well.
