I was inspecting the log file of of my Signal Desktop, and noticed that it contains non-readable characters related to log statements about conversations.

For example:
trimming conversation y¤ºexÇ
øq¦>ÿ of 1 old messages

See this log file for more and other examples:

I would expect the log file to contain only readable characters.

Does this have some sort of negative user experience for you? Or can you think of some sort of expected bad thing that might happen because of it?

Not directly negative user experience. But I sometimes check my logs, and I was not sure whether this is normal or not. I questioned whether there might be something wrong with one of the conversations.
