Feature Request
Signal behaves in a sane way as every normal piece of software should (please don't take Chrome as an example) and allows me to choose what type of update behavior it should have (auto, check and notify, do not check and do not bother me).
"Bug" description
Signal Desktop for OS X and Windows downloads its update every hour, wasting bandwidth when this is not necessary / wanted.
Steps to reproduce
Install Signal Desktop (OS X)
wait until it decides it wants to update itself, typically one hour
Actual result:
Downloads the version and prompts me to install. I don't want to install so I click "later". Signal waits an hour and re-downloads again, without asking me.
Expected result:
Signal behaves in a sane way as every normal piece of software should (please don't take Chrome as an example) and allows me to choose what type of update behavior it should have (auto, check and notify, do not check and do not bother me).
Please add a Settings option to control this behavior.
