It's a simple problem. Desktop has better security and a full size screen. Before I risk you on my phone, I want to see how the desktop works. Until then, no, you don't get to know anything about my phone.

The community forum has several threads that explain how you can use signal without a smartphone. However, your desktop most likely does not have a better security.

@Trolldemorted I followed the link and there was one technical suggestion and a whole bunch of tangential arguments about competitors and complaints about the lack of responsiveness from Signal. Not a great promo. As for security, yes, desktops are more secure. From the basic that it doesn't leave my office to the maturity of firewall and other security applications, the desktop is more secure. BTW: I'm talking about physical security and defense against hacking, not the encryption of the app.

@konotori Some useless whining that adds nothing to the conversation. Did it make you feel better? For more than that, pay attention to @Trolldemorted's actual information provided.
