@elemanhillary There is no 'assigned.' If you want to start working on something, start the conversation here, start talking about intended solutions, etc. |
I would rather call this a bug/regression, not a feature request. The "Optimizing application" splash screen was not shown in versions before 1.33 when using "--start-in-tray". |
This no longer occurs in signal v1.37.2. This should be closed. |

Bug Description
When Signal is started with
--start-in-tray
, the splash screen should not be shownSteps to Reproduce
signal-desktop --start-in-tray
Actual Result:
A splash screen ("optimizing application") is shown in foreground.
Expected Result:
No splash screen should be shown. It is unnecessary and distracting.
Platform Info
Signal Version: v1.33.0
Operating System: Ubuntu eoan
Linked Device Version: 4.58.5
