are great! However, they could be significantly more comfortable for vim users. Has there been any discussion of an optional alternative keybinding?

The shortcut always assumes you're in insert mode, so the shortcuts often involve chords of modifiers like ctrl+shift+_. Instead, if we could esc from insert mode and use, e.g., hjkl for moving between conversations (not arrows), and / for searching convos...
