[Feature Request] Multiple reactions to one message #4617
Comments
It is a deliberate design decision, yes. Just to be clear: you want people to be able to respond to a survey-like thing more than once? |
I want the bot to react to it's own message multiple times, to create a kind of "menu" users can select options from. |
Adding to this, it's not just about surveys or menus. Allowing for multiple emoji reactions to a message allows for more nuanced reactions. Got some unavoidable situation that you just have to work through? Maybe go for that 👍 😢 combo. Or some really exciting news? 🎉 🎈 🎊 🥳 is a lot more over the top than just one of any of those. I can't say it's the most critical feature or anything, but it's certainly one my friends and I frequently miss when compared to other platforms that support it (namely, Slack, Discord, MS Teams, but also here on GitHub and GitLab). |

I would also prefer being able to multi-react. Not just for bots but for fun. |
I really wish this feature was added, what usually prevents such great suggestions from going through? |
Also curious about this feature, willing to contribute some time to help implementing this as well. Currently my biggest complaint in using Signal rather than Discord |
I'd like to request the ability to react with multiple emojis to a message.
I recently created a bot for my friend group, and I tried implementing menus the way they're common on Discord.
However, I noticed that there's a limit of one reaction per user per message.
Is this a deliberate design decision?
Here's an example of how multiple reactions (by the bot) can be used to create interactive menus in Discord:
