Currently, the application design follows a common pattern of displaying a profile image next to a contact's name, if available, otherwise the initials of the contact's name. However, many applications extend this pattern by allowing the user to disable display of such graphics, and to rely entirely on the printed name of the contact.
Including a preferences option to disable this graphic would be a simple enhancement that would be favorable for many users.
