Bug Description

  1. Particularly for those of us enduring this bug Windows: All button icons are invisible when installed alongside Photoshop 6.0 #4043
  2. Every button needs a tool tip. The software is extremely difficult to use with no images on buttons.
  3. Even with images, tool tips are required to avoid ambiguity.
  4. This is not a feature request. The lack of tool tips must be considered a bug for any software that should be taken seriously.

You say that it's not a feature request, but indeed it is, both due to size and due to priority. We're going to fix bugs before we get to this, just to set expectations. But this is useful from an accessibility perspective as well, so it's on our list.

It's not an all or nothing exercise. There are about 6 tool tips for conversation threads which would make Signal immeasurably easier to use for me and a growing number of other users. If those buttons had a different background colour, like the close button for the Preferences dialog, this would be the cherry on top.

@michaelcsikos I understand your struggles. But it's far, far more important for us to figure out why the buttons aren't showing at all. That's a true bug, and we will happily put a lot of effort into that. We just need folks to continue investigating things with us.
