When I use the mobile version of Signal, the Clash proxy (a proxy software) I used can fully support my connection to the Signal app. However, I fail to connect by using Clash for Windows (desktop version of that proxy software) through same proxy address, when accessing the desktop version of Signal. The place that a connective QR code designed to be loaded is stuck and no QR code can be successfully generated, and then an error is reported
I had tried to send the error log through Signal support (strangely, I can direct to the Signal's homepage from the browser, but fail to use Signal desktop), but there is no reply after waiting for a few days.
I had also tried to change the proxy software to V2rayNG, but it did not work. Then I changed into another subscription address, and it still kept failing. Therefore, I basically ruled out the problem factors of proxy software and proxies. Then I changed my computer firewall for modifying the inbound and outbound rules, and added the Signal desktop software to allow connection to the shared network. It still did not work.
I followed a few guides and looked for help from the community, then I tried to change my clash mode to TUN mode (proxies global traffic) and it got a new error, first it said unable to connect to the server, I clicked after retrying, it returned to the original state.
