I emailed support over 9 months ago and they said this:

"Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out and sharing that.

Our developers are aware that the Cinema4D plugin (among others) needs an update. In the near future, after Sketchfab transitions to Fab, we definitely plan to revisit our plugins and update them then".
