My immediate thought is to have a JSON import and export, but the user specifically mentioned wanting to use the export to visualize data. For that purpose it might be better to have something like CSV export that can be easily imported to a spreadsheet.
My use case would be to preserve previous history from the Android version. (I have used the tickmate app on Android for years, and recently switched to an iphone, would be a shame to lose all the history...)
FYI: The export from the android version is a sqlite3 data file - I can provide mine as an example, if you'd like, nothing private in there.
Another +1 on this! I have several years of tracking history in a similar app on Android and I would love to be able to import that to this app. I could even see import being another small paid upgrade like groups.
This has been specifically requested by a user, so I should probably prioritize it.
Would be nice if it could use the same format as the export in the Android app, but I haven’t looked into what that format is yet.
