I haven't tried with any other games but using Elden Ring with the new DLC (official copy from Steam), with a steam_appid.txt in the game folder with 1245620 written in there so EAC doesn't start, default set to launch offline, raytracing off, when launching the game with the bat with file paths to a mod set up correctly the game starts so slow it's like 1 frame per 20 seconds. It's a black screen with the Elden Ring cursor for like a solid 2 minutes, each of the logos for another minute or 2, then slowly starts revealing the actual Elden Ring logo but it's so slow it freezes before it can even show the continue buttons and such.
I am not on a potato. Ryzen 9 5900X with Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360mm AIO, ROG X570 Crosshair VIII Hero, 8TB M.2 NVMe (OS)/8TB SSD (Games), G.Skill Ripjaws V 128GB 3600 RAM, EVGA RTX 3080 XC3 Ultra Hybrid with a 240mm AIO rad. Game runs perfectly smooth without ModEngine2.
