Our team has been hard at work crafting exciting updates for ARC, and this month's newsletter is brimming with cool highlights spanning across all our branches ARC Backstage, ARC SaaS, ARC API, ARC IAC and ARC UI. ARC Backstage

1. Backstage: We're excited to introduce SourceFuse's very own developer portal Backstage, a centralized platform for managing all project repositories. It enables quick and easy setup using predefined templates, ensuring new repositories consistently adhere to SourceFuse's standard practices. Follow the link to our github repository and our product is live here. Please note that SF Backstage is for internal use only.

1. Access Management: We are enhancing access control to be more granular, which will streamline permission management across all projects. This improvement will ensure more precise and efficient control over user permissions to the repositories. This will boost overall security and efficiency.

2. Sonar Integration: We are working on to integrate SonarQube with Backstage to provide code quality metrics directly within the Backstage Code Quality screen. This integration will enable developers and managers to easily access and review code quality reports without leaving the Backstage environment, enhancing workflow efficiency and ensuring consistent code quality oversight.

☁️ ARC SaaS

1. Open Sourced: Exciting News! We've recently open-sourced and made our GitHub repositories public! This means you can now explore, contribute to, and benefit from our projects firsthand. Dive into our GitHub pages ARC SaaS API and EKS architecture to discover our latest innovations and join us in shaping the future of ARC SaaS. NPM links to our control plane tenant management service and subscription service.

2. Documentation: We're excited to share that our documents are now available on ARC docs pages. Visit our arc-docs site to view our documentation and stay informed. Update by Yesha Mavani.

3. Managing Control-Plane Applications with ArgoCD GitOps : Optimizing Control-Plane Application Management with ArgoCD GitOps using Terraform. This helps in monitoring the health of micro-services of control-plane while making it easy to update control-plane features or roll back deployments. Helping to streamline and accelerate deployment cycles. Thanks to Harshit Kumar for his contributions.

1. Decoupled Provisioning: To enhance customization and cater to diverse customer needs, we are decoupling the tenant application provisioning process from its build platform. This will allow users to choose their preferred build platform for executing the provisioning cycle. Users can seamlessly use platforms that comply with their organizational standards, ensuring a flexible and user-friendly provisioning experience.

2. Billing Component: We are in the process of developing a versatile billing module that allows SaaS providers to integrate seamlessly with their preferred third-party billing tools from the market. This initiative aims to enhance flexibility and efficiency in managing billing processes, ensuring compatibility with a wide array of industry-leading solutions.

3. Customizable licensing Plan: We're evolving our approach to offer SaaS providers greater flexibility in customizing plans based on licensing options. This empowers providers to quickly toggle features for tenants based on selected plans, ensuring they can tailor offerings to meet diverse customer needs efficiently."

1. Automating AWS CodePipeline with Terraform: Our terraform ci/cd module automates the creation of AWS CodePipeline and CodeBuild projects, enabling seamless build and deployment for both application code and Terraform modules. By establishing reusable CodeBuild projects, it ensures consistent, efficient build processes shared across multiple CodePipelines. This standardized approach reduces redundancy and enhances configuration simplicity in CI/CD pipelines. Thanks to Vijay Stephen for this contributions.

2. Simplified ElastiCache Management: The cache module streamlines the deployment and management of AWS ElastiCache clusters, supporting both Redis and Memcached options. This Terraform module offers a unified solution for creating and configuring ElastiCache components, including parameter groups, subnet groups, and security groups, ensuring efficient cluster setup and configuration. Contributed by Mayank Sharma.

Enhance S3 Management: Our upcoming S3 module will simplify Amazon S3 bucket management with Terraform, offering streamlined bucket creation, versioning, lifecycle policy management, robust access control, cross-region replication for enhanced availability, and flexible encryption options for data protection.

2. Streamline EC2 Management: The EC2 module streamlines Amazon EC2 instance management with Terraform, featuring Elastic Load Balancers (ELBs), robust security group configuration, automated instance setup via metadata and user data, EBS volume management, and Elastic IP address association.

1. Enhanced Audit Log Archival: Our updated audit-log service now supports archiving logs based on lists of 'actedOn' and 'actionGroup' instead of a single string, enabling easier grouping and simultaneous archiving of related entities. This enhancement reduces the number of archives, improving performance when retrieving archived data. Thanks to Yesha Mavani for her contributions.

1. Entity Level Archival: Rather than limiting archival features solely to audit logs, we're introducing a comprehensive approach to alleviate database overhead across all services. Our upcoming solution provides a universal method for archiving and retrieving entries for any entity, offering a versatile and streamlined approach to data management across your entire system.

1. User Friendly Documentation: Our ARC Angular boilerplate now features user-friendly documentation with improved visuals and detailed code snippets. This update aims to enhance usability and facilitate easier implementation for developers. Contributed by Deepika Mahindroo.
