@rouson I remember that Macports support for OpenCoarrays was dropped at some point (not really sure why), but anyway, it is back: OpenCoarrays builds in its latest version across all systems and archs (including ppc and aarch64): https://ports.macports.org/port/OpenCoarrays/details (we do not have buildbots for PowerPC at the moment, so port status does not reflect ppc, but it does build for PowerPC).
I intend to maintain the port alive and up to date.
P. S. This is not an “issue”, but purely informational post. Macports can now be added to supported installation methods, if developers of OpenCoarrays wish, perhaps especially for older systems (which are not supported in other package managers).

@barracuda156 thanks! @zbeekman was a Homebrew maintainer for several years so we switched to Homebrew and the developer who maintained rhe MacPorts port is no longer available to work on OpenCoarrays. Thanks for volunteering to to help.
