When playback stopped: on-screen components react.

During playback:

  • Controls react instantly
  • Patterns play to completion and then refresh
  • v0: clock doesn't break, but that's about it
  • v1: clock adjusts intelligently. It's like a cursor in a word-processing document: you can add things before/after without losing your place.

Pick a subset for first milestone.

I'm moving this part of the product vision to the back burner. I'm less of a believer in the code story as I try different workflows.
