Backup in kafka is poorly supported. There is the S3 connector and also https://github.com/itadventurer/kafka-backup

SpecMesh would allow (via tags) - the ability to run backup to one of the following S3, filesystem, topic etc and also restore. it would include topic-partition data, topic config and offsets
