About NumCosmo

NumCosmo is a robust numerical cosmology library meticulously crafted to streamline cosmological observable calculations and statistical model analyses. This indispensable toolkit empowers researchers and developers in the cosmology and astrophysics field.

Our team

Our current team is located at Universidade Estadual de Londrina and comprises four professors and a dynamic group of about 20 graduate students, all committed to advancing cosmology research with NumCosmo.

Our team is engaged in an array of research endeavors:

• Cluster Counts Cosmology: We focus on computing theoretical predictions for cluster abundance and constructing likelihood functions. This involves analyzing data related to counts and super sample covariance.
• Cluster Mass with Weak Lensing (WL): Our work extends to computing advanced cluster profiles and their associated weak lensing effects. We also specialize in computing cluster masses using weak lensing techniques and reconstructing the intrinsic ellipticity distribution of galaxies.
• Primordial Universe: Our research delves into the early universe, encompassing computations and testing of anisotropic models, identifying signatures of bouncing cosmology, and exploring other aspects of the primordial universe.
• Statistical Analysis: We employ advanced statistical techniques such as Ensemble Sampler Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) analysis using the Approximate Posterior Ensemble Sampler (APES) method. This enables us to extract valuable insights and refine our understanding of cosmological phenomena.
