Become a sponsor to Just the Docs
We're a small group of maintainers for Just the Docs, a highly customizable and responsive Jekyll theme for documentation with built-in search. It's designed to be easily deployed on GitHub Pages and other static hosters (like Netlify or Vercel). Our theme is used by tens of thousands of Jekyll sites all around the world, with over 300000 downloads just on RubyGems.
We plan on significantly ramping up the theme's feature set, customizability, and accessible design as we target an eventual v1.0
release. Over 2022, new maintainers joined the team and released over 2 years of backlogged features, bugfixes, and documentation. We're excited to do more!
However, we are a small maintenance team with no funding. All of our development doesn't strictly require any funding; however, there is potential for higher impact work. Sponsorship would help cover:
- domain name costs - we don't have one right now!
- better testing tools such as Chromatic, which makes reviewing PRs across various platforms simpler
- contracting out design work when necessary
To accomplish our goals, we don't ever want to limit features of Just the Docs behind payment; we truly believe in this theme being open-source. We hope you join us - as a user, contributor, maintainer, or financial supporter!
