Hi, I'm Dmitry Vasilev, the solo developer behind Leporello.js.

I've always wondered if we could make programming simpler, more accessible, and easier to learn. To bring this vision to life, I've created Leporello.js - an interactive functional programming environment for JavaScript. Please watch the product video for a brief overview.

Currently, Leporello.js is available as a free online application that you can try right in your browser.

My goal is to build the Leporello.js standalone Electron app and a VSCode plugin, both with TypeScript support. Additionally, I plan to add Node.js support (currently, Leporello.js is only for HTML5 apps). In the VSCode plugin, Leporello.js will sit on top of the built-in TypeScript/JavaScript mode, utilizing its code analysis information to enhance the default VSCode experience with unique Leporello.js features.

Is Leporello.js open source?

Leporello.js is not currently open source. However, Leporello.js online app is free for use. I would be happy to make Leporello.js open source in the future, but this decision depends on establishing a sustainable funding model.

The code is available in an unbundled and unminified format, and it is also hosted on GitHub (although currently without an open-source license) to make it easier to report bugs and improve Leporello.js.
