Thank you for taking a look at my sponsorship information.

My name is Michael Onken and I am a one of the long time core members of the team behind the open source DICOM toolkit DCMTK πŸ˜ƒ.

DCMTK is widely used in all kinds of projects from research to commercial applications. We put a lot of effort into the library to stay up-to-date and add functionality whenever possible. However, giving away quality software for free is a difficult if not impossible business model, since side services such as offering consulting, training, and custom development hardly compensate for the amount of work that also needs to be done on the open source part of the library πŸ’ͺ.

With this sponsorship you can help me fund the open source development of DCMTK. This will ensure that DCMTK can be kept up to date, that bugs and pull requests are handled quickly, and that DCMTK is the high quality software you can use for any of your projects! πŸ™Œ

Please also consider the cost of the few commercial DICOM toolkits if you have ever considered one as an alternative.

Thanks for your time!
