At the moment the DataSourceHealthIndicator does detection of the database type and query to use to validate if everything is ok. It is also possible to set a custom query when explicitly creating an instance yourself.

It would be a nice addition to re-use the spring.datasource.validation-query property as a validation query for the datasource health also.
