Problem Description

The scaling behavior on text labels in the Spyder interface is absolutely atrocious. Sometimes everything scales just fine, but other times the labels are so small that I can't even read them and therefore Spyder is unusable (see attached picture). And this is despite setting the option for 'High DPI scaling'. The most frustrating part is that it is completely mysterious to me when and why the scaling changes. I also do not understand why this is still an issue. Spyder is literally the only software application that I have ever seen have this problem. I love this application, but it is so frustrating when I cannot read any labels, such as my open tabs.

What steps reproduce the problem?

No idea. Just opening the application will do it sometimes.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Labels whose size matches the size of the text in the editor.
