When the Stacks 2.1 epoch goes live, the next reward cycle will use the Stacks 2.1 PoX contract to calculate the reward set. The 2.0 contract will be ignored. Users will have a window of time (TBD) to re-lock their STX into the 2.1 contract. This obviates the need to migrate state from the 2.0 contract, which will be extremely expensive and would have to happen each time two Stacks blocks are mined that cross the epoch boundary.
