@NilsJacobsen this was raised by @NiklasBuchfink to find a way to unify our API endpoints because atm, we have separate ones for each provider like /api/github /api/gitlab.

@NiklasBuchfink opinion was that this is a bit boilerplaty. it is. but it's fine atm.
