No badge notifications on iOS / macOS

Bug Report

While banner notifications tend to eventually arrive on iOS, there is no corresponding badge notification on the Status app icon. iOS has a more ephemeral approach to notifications compared to Android, so if the initial banner is missed, there is nothing left that reminds a user that there is unread content. Likewise, on macOS, there are no badge notifications either.

Problem

No badge notifications are displayed on iOS / macOS.

Expected behavior

Badge notification is displayed on the app icon until user opens the app and marks the messages as read.

Actual behavior

Banner notification arrives on iOS, but there is no badge applied to the app icon.

Reproduction

1. Put Status in background, e.g., go to home screen.
2. Receive a message in Status
3. Wait for notification to appear
4. Unlock phone (back to home screen)
5. Status app icon should display a badge notification.
