Okay here's an idea:

redbean https://redbean.dev/ as the web server
https://github.com/tauri-apps/wry but recompiled with cosmopolitan as the webview
a bit of Lua scripting to read a directory and serve it

= web site turned into a desktop application. And cross-platform at that.
