A Data Catalog Database is a database of the Data Catalog. A cloud platform account has a single Data Catalog, but an unlimited number of databases can be managed with this Data Catalog. A Data catalog database is used as primary source of truth for the metadata of Data Catalog tables, for both structured tables and unstructured tables. |
