Are the specific node versions specified actually required?

Describe the bug
I noticed this package requires very specific versions of node here. Are these required or would earlier versions, of say, node 20, still be fine?

This is a nuisance as many users will be running this in some form of CI, and not all the CI environments that support Node 20 come with Node >=20.17 out of the box. If any Node 20.x is enough, it would greatly help to set the engine version to just >=20.
