Atx-style headers missing

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Enter three times the hash sign #
2. the output is no h3-tag


What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Three # should generate a h3 heading (<h3> my headline </h3>
According to http://daringfireball.net/projects/markdown/syntax#header markdown 
should support html headers h1 down to h6 be entering n times the # sign.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
The current version (july 2012).
