While my firmware is incomplete due to an error preventing tinygpsplus from being added, if it were functional, I'd suggest the addition of nodes being marked on the map in the app, their locations an average of the locations of connected devices which give out their coords.

I recall this being discussed on another issue, but yes this could be possible if there are GPS-capable devices connected, they could share their coordinates with the node, which could then broadcast them over lora to other nodes that could then add the original node to a locally stored map.
