Request: Cutter leaves objects in position and orientation

Hy there, I don't know if this is the right forum for my request, so if not please move it where it belongs.
I would like to request an additional option on the parts cutter. At the moment it cuts the parts and then places them (if you want to keep both parts) side by side. But if you just want to make a size adjustment on a part (for example a pen holder on a tape dispenser that i just want to print from 9mm to 12mm) its a little bit of a pita to arrange everything back together. Split the part, but don't move anything would be my prefered modus operandi here...
