As detailed in #2851, Helm breaks when clicking anywhere while it is active. That bug report suggests SPC w b as a way to recover, which is nonobvious at best.

The interesting thing I just discovered is that this does not occur with Emacs bindings. mouse-1 correctly does nothing then, and Helm stays focused.

Can the Vim bindings be modified to be consistent with the Emacs bindings' behavior?

The parent issue has been fixed, so I don't think this is a problem anymore!
