When the gtags layer is enabled, any functionality concerning dired does not seem to work.
E.g., calling dired . from eshell gives the following error message:
Cannot open load file: no such file or directory, gtags

If by any chance, a file named GTAGS exists in the current folder, instead of the previous error message, an empty dired buffer is presented.

I meet the same problem.

If enable gtags, it will show Cannot open load file: no such file or directory, gtags when open a folder.

This problem seems to no longer exist in Spacemacs v.0.105.9, running on top of GNU Emacs 24.5.1

@mushanshitiancai Can you confirm?

Same problem here on emacs-24.5.1 / spacemacs-0.105.12
With gtags layer enabled, dired not work as expected.
The behaviors are the same as @wordempire 's post.

the problem may most likely already be fixed (emacs-24.4.1/spacemacs-0.105.16)
However, will be miserable too much gtags process

:( I'm still having the problem on emacs-24.5.1 / spacemacs-0.105.16
I've updated all the packages too.

I am unable to reproduce this, are you still having these issues on the latest release?
