It looks like the ESP32 cannot see your BMS. Please flash the BLE scanner configuration to your ESP32: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/syssi/esphome-jk-bms/main/esp32-ble-scanner.yaml Is your BMS reported here? You should see something like this at the log:
If there is silence it's possible the BLE stack of your ESP32 is broken/faulty. |

I tried, I see lots of devices, but strangely the JK one does not appear in the list (or I can't catch it early in the logs).

I have tried to connect EspHome to my JK_B2A8S20P via BLE, without success.
Here are the steps:
ESP32 can see the BMS BLE:
Client is connecting to Mqtt, that works well, output from mosquitto.log:
