Does not load at all #407

Issue description

When trying to use this extension or in npm I just get the error "took too long to load".

I have tried manually entering network conditions in dev tools to anything other than default as recommended but this is now not working either.

Software details

VSCode extension on MacOS & installed via npm

Command line used for launching live-server:
OS: MacOS Monterey 12.6.3
Browser (if browser related): Happens on all, Brave, Chrome, Safari
Node.js version: v18.3.0
live-server version: 5.7.9 - I have tried installing older verisons
