I really appreciate this project, since I can't find another way to open a full booster box then get a list of cards. However, the text output (under 'Paste or upload a deck') doesn't seem to be importable elsewhere as far as I've tried.

It would be great if there were other export options, for example, I usually export to Moxfield. I do this by putting the set code of each card at the end, taking the 'a's off each double-sided card, changing the foil marker (ie 1 Day of Judgment [FDN:140] *F*). Then it ends up working. However, it would be good if I could just export like that to begin with.

Thanks again!

There's no one standard format for decklists. For precons I have two download buttons ("Download" and "Download with printings"), as some tools support card numbers and some don't, as well as 2 JSON output formats.

For visualizer I guess I could move card number after card name as that's more common.

The "a"/"b" on DFCs is standard Gatherer card numbering, everyone used it until Scryfall started pushing their system of having one card number per physical card instead of one per face. There are arguments for both systems, but I don't plan to change it right now.

I don't recall any decklist markers for foil cards until I added [foil] for magic-preconstructed-decks repo. It's the first time I'm seeing F.

There's a lot of additional small things like commanders, tokens, metadata etc. that are even less standard.

In theory I could add a "Download as..." dropdown with 20 options including Moxfield, but I don't think any of them is really documented enough.

Thanks for the quick response! Ah I didn't realise how un-standardised the formating was across - that does sound difficult.

To be clear on my use case, I'm currently using the visualizer to generate a sealed pool, which I then import to Moxfield to mess around with and create a deck.

Given it seems it's not reasonable to create all the export options, since as you say they aren't documented enough, do you know where, if anywhere, I could import the list as it is formatted currently (ie 1 [FDN:292] Sire of Seven Deaths)? A workaround could be that I import it into at least one of many online deck editors, and then use their export options. But I couldn't find any editors that would take this format?

Many thanks again

Edit: Also yes I think your idea of moving card number after card name would be good if possible, to make the list more import-friendly to online editors, even if the list still needs editing for import to work

I moved card numbers after the card name.

@Spottyfriend Hey, you can import the mtg.wtf decklist to mythichub.com - you need to have an account, go to personal decks, click import deck, select the mtg.wtf decklist and paste the decklist into the text area. Like on the screenshot here:

This is an example deck imported this way:

@Spottyfriend Does @Emnalyeriar 's solution work for you?

It imports super easily - thanks! But can I export from MythicHub to play the list somewhere?

@Spottyfriend I am the creator of MythicHub - it doesn't support export right now unfortunately, feel free to send me feedback at matt(at)mythichub.com
