XSD instead of DTD #6

Hello,
I have XML files that reference a XSD file. If i try to validate I get this error:

validity error: Validation failed: no DTD found !
spaceSchemaLocation="profile.xsd" useForConfiguration="1" base="base" infoUrl="...

Is there a way to use a XSD file?
